The Otevrel Ballett- und Tanzzentrum Augsburg, which is run by Daniel Otevrel and Oscar Córdoba, offers first-class dance instruction to children, adolescents and adults who have a love of movement and dance.
The Otevrel School was founded in 1967 by Libuse Illeova Otevrel and Bretislav Otevrel, wo were not only soloists and partners in dance but also in marriage. In 1982 the school was awarded the prestigious Munich-based Heinz Bosl Foundation prize for the best pedagogic work in a ballet school. The school developed into Augsburg's most renowned localition for Ballet education and is also well known beyond the city's limits for offering Ballet and dance training on the highest level. Daniel Otevrel, who was Leipzig Ballet's first Balletmaster, and Oscar Córdoba a former dancer with Leipzig Ballet, took over the school, maintaining both previous standards and teaching quality.
Classical Ballet, Modern Dance and Character Dance offer an ideal mixture of dance forms to study the many facets of the art of dance, but they also help students to school both their bodies and their minds while nurturing the enthusiasm that all of the children, adolescents and adults bring with them to the studio. Our teachers offer the best quality dance instruction there is.
In addition, the Otevrel Ballett- und Tanzzentrum Augsburg offers vocational dance training in wich students are fully prepared for all of the demands of a professional career in dance.
Dedication, focus and discipline within the school is to the advantage of all of the students. But it is the joy of dance which we share and which we foster in everyone who attends class.
Very Best wishes,
Daniel Otevrel and Oscar Córdoba
